nutrition
Our body needs more than 40 different nutrients and there is no single source for any of them. So we should all include a balance of good carbohydrates, protein, fruits, vegetables and dairy products in our daily food choices.
Never skip meals. Skipping meals can lead to out-of-control hunger and frequent overindulgence. Snacking regularly between meals can help if you're pressed for time. Just make sure you have at least two balanced meals.
Certain foods should not be excluded. Because our bodies need different nutrients, it's a bad idea to eliminate all salt, fat, and sugar from our diet, unless directed to do so by a medical professional.
Food is neither good nor bad. Because food is good or bad depends on us
Fitness and Stress Management Stay active
• Use the stairs instead of the elevator.
• Try to walk or run for at least 30 minutes every day. So you don't have to spend hours sweating it out in the gym.
• Always keep yourself well organized to eliminate unnecessary and preventable stress.
• Turn off the TV and recite the Quran.
Get plenty of sleep
Allow at least 30 minutes of quiet relaxing activity, such as reading, before bed at night
Resist the temptation to use sleeping pills under the stress of writing papers, studying, etc.
Do not waste time sleeping! It is as important and necessary as nutrition and exercise.
Social health
Get involved in positive social work. Whether it's participating on a sports team or in Rhodes Student Government, joining a religious organization, volunteering at a soup kitchen, or helping in any other form, helping others helps us. The most important thing to remember is to find something you're interested in and enjoy yourself.
